Who is art for? How does art enhance public space? Urbanologist, geographer and city historian Max Grinnell will present and facilitate a discussion around roles of public art in American cities. R
The discussion will also focus on how public art shapes our understanding of urban spaces and art’s impact on community building and incorporated into the program will be Chicago’s Pilsen Murals, an element within our 2026 One Book One Community's title Hello Beautiful.
